How adorable are these 7 month photos of baby Camila? I couldn’t get enough of her sweet face, and those eyes! This milestone session was taken in my Cumming photography studio, where we utilized natural light, floral accents, and simple, organic props. Both mom and baby girl utilized my client wardrobe, so they are wearing outfits picked out from my studio closet! I also provided the floral headband and all props you see. I love how these turned out, and especially loving the mother daughter photos we captured during her 7 month session. It’s so important for moms to ‘show up’ in photos with their kids, it’s a treasure for these children to have down the road!
Milestone sessions like this are sometimes referred to at ‘sitter sessions’ or ‘6 month sessions’. However, I always advise parents to wait till their baby is sitting up nice and sturdy, which is usually at 7 months. Another great age for milestones photos is 3-4 months. They won’t be sitting up, but you can get them on their belly or on their back and capture lots of cute facial expressions. And finally the popular one year session! Babies change so much and so quickly in the first year, these milestone sessions are a great way to document so you never forget this fleeting baby stage!
