I love natural newborn photography. I’m not against posing and using props, I do it all the time, but I love doing it in a way that really puts all the focus on baby, so baby can shine. Years down the road, these are the photos parents appreciate the most, timeless portraits of their newborn features. This phase is so fleeting!
This newborn session is simply the sweetest. These young parents were incredibly adorable to photograph, and their son only gets cuter and cuter by the day. We used all white for the backdrop and light blue accents. This little guy really let me do what I wanted with him, he was so content! We ended up getting quite a variety of poses and shots!
For this session, I actually traveled to my clients home and set up my studio there. I usually shoot my newborn sessions in my beautiful light-filled studio in Cumming, GA, but I still have the option available of coming to you, since sometimes this is what a new mom needs : ) We actually had the tiniest space to work with, but you really can’t tell! I brought my assistant Melissa with me, she was a huge help. The smaller the baby, the more stuff I have to bring. You really wouldn’t believe the amount of STUFF gets packed up for a newborn session. It’s quite a workout packing it, doing the session, packing it again, and then unloading it! This is when I’m really glad to have an assistant with me. She also helps keep baby safe and secure the entire sessions I’m switching lenses or grabbing something I need. Enjoy these photos, be sure to scroll to the bottom to see these adorable parents, REALLY you must.
